Baking with an oven can often be difficult especially with little ones running around. Since our little one had a cold, we decided to stay in and find ways to entertain ourselves without technology.
Instead, we raided our panty and found we were in luck, we had exactly what we needed to make a child friendly (and fun) treat.
Spooky Marshmallow Treats
What you’ll need:
Royal icing (ingredients and directions listed below)
Below is the recipe I used for the royal icing
After I have prepared my royal icing, I separated them into different bowls and let the kids create whatever colors they wanted with food coloring to dip the marshmallows in so they could decorate them with the sprinkles how they pleased. Since the icing needing time to dry we set them out on wax paper while we painted pumpkins and watched Halloween Town. This turned out to be a super easy snack that we all enjoyed creating together as a family.
I am a wife and a mother just trying not to forget the clothes in the washer, again. When I’m not coordinating colors for clients, I’m out in my garden tending to my succulents or paint abstract art for my Etsy shop
